Teaching Style
All video jokes aside, I take what I offer you seriously. I am logical and methodical in the way I structure practices. I do so through intelligent sequencing and efficient delivery. Because, I want everybody to live aĀ
PAIN FREE AND ENJOYABLE LIFE
My intention is for you to access feel good states, both on and off the mat. Because in my opinion, that's the mark of a sustainable practice.Ā
Additionally, I hope that coming to practice with me feels like two mates hanging out, having a laugh, and keeping our bodies supported (through movement and rest) out of respect for all they do for us.
I'm passionate about sharing yoga in a way that encourages and promotes bodily autonomy. In other words, I'm not your guru. It's your body, so it's your choice.
I also want to encourage you to prioritise self compassion and kindness, because there are essential qualities for a self careĀ practice and for life.
My Why
I strongly believe in the importance of moving our bodies for our health.Ā
But what I believe has happened, is that we have focused far too much on making that movement perfect aesthetically and with the "correct form" that we have completely missed the point...
TO JUST MOVE!
I always think about all the people who may have tried yoga and stopped because they thought āIām not doing it properlyā orĀ āIām not good at it"
My hope always when I facilitate practices is to just get you moving, without rules or dogma that seems to have infiltrated much of Yoga world today.Ā
Similarly, I believe that rest needs to be a non-negotiable part of our weekly routine. We canāt ābio-hackā our way to better health without rest being a pillar that supports us.
My hope for this platform is that we can move and rest our bodies, listen and feel our emotions, and utilise the pockets of space we have to live a more sustainable life.
